Chef/owner DK Kodama cooks at the Superbowl
Our fearless leader, DK Kodama has again been selected to cook for the Super Bowl festivities in early February. This is, in fact, the 6th year in a row that DK has been one of the 50 chefs selected to cook at the event.  Representing Hawaii at such an internationally visible event can quite daunting, but there is a reason why DK and his dynamic, highly innovative, contemporary Asian fusion foods have been selected for the 6th year in a row.

It is no coincidence that our very own Chef Ivan Pahk was once again selected as “Chef of the Year” for Maui.  As Maui magazines, Maui News & No Ka Oi, have each highlighted, Chef Pahk is one of the most immensely gifted, innovative chefs of Hawaii’s culinary scene, which is why Sansei is perennially rated one of the top restaurants on Maui..  Chef Ivan’s cooking comes from his unbridled passion for good food & doing the very best that he can. One can sense that immediately upon meeting him or tasting his food.  Chef Pahk now oversees the kitchens of both Sansei Restaurant in Kihei as well as the original located the Kapalua Resort. Let us rephrase that.  Chef Pahk now cooks & oversees the kitchens of both the Sansei Restaurant in Kihei as well as the Kapalua flagship.   Congratulations Chef Ivan!

DK Restaurants adds five new partners
Chef/owner DK Kodama recently announced the promotions of five long time Sansei managers and chefs.  Company Controller, Sandy Thompson, Chef Ivan Pahk, dk Steakhouse General Manager, Ivy Nagayama, and Sansei Waikiki General Manager, Tom Alejado, were made partners.  “These five form the nucleus for our Sansei Restaurants, through their hard work, dedication & commitment.  Each deserve the promotion and we look forward to a long partnership with them”. A wholehearted congratulations to the five!
